TERMS & CONDITIONS

By registering as an Individual participant (including CEOs and other eligible professionals) or as part of a Team, you are deemed to have read and agree to be bound by the Terms and Conditions set out below:

THE EVENT

  1. The OzHarvest CEO CookOff is a fundraising initiative of OzHarvest (ABN 33 107 782 196) which culminates in events held across Australia to be conducted from 13 October 2026 until 12 November 2026 where eligible participants will cook with top chefs, then serve and sit down to dine with special guests invited from the charities we support.
  2. The Event aims to raise awareness about food insecurity both nationally and within one’s local community, whilst raising funds for OzHarvest, serving community members and allowing the delivery of meals to vulnerable individuals (“The Purpose”).
  3. CEOs, business leaders, teams and community members from various organisations will be invited to register to participate in the Event.
  4. Participants may register for the OzHarvest CEO CookOffas Individual participants or as a Team consisting of 2 or more Individuals subject to availability and eligibility criteria.
  5. Participants who are eligible to attend the Event (as an Individual Participant or part of a Team as outlined below) will experience the following event activities, including but not limited to:
    • preparing food in a team together with other individuals, supervised and guided by a top chef;
    • serving and then sharing a meal with the chefs, community members and other participants;
    • assisting with the packing up of any additional meals, to be delivered to local charities;

INDIVIDUAL REGISTRATIONS

  1. By registering, Individual participants acknowledge that they will receive direct contact (by email, sms or other means) from OzHarvest about the Event they are registered for and to help with and encourage Fundraising initiatives. Please refer to the Privacy clause in these Terms and the OzHarvest Privacy Policy: https://www.ozharvest.org/privacy-policy/ for further information.
  2. Where an Individual participant is no longer able to attend the Event, a replacement may attend in their place. OzHarvest must be advised via email (cookoff@ozharvest.org) as soon as possible of the replacement participant’s details. The replacement participant takes on responsibility of fundraising goals as advised at the point of registration.
  3. The fundraising monies that an individual has collected will not be refunded to donors should any individual participant not be available to attend the Event or send a replacement.
  4. Individual participants pledge to raise a minimum $5,000* before they attend the Event.
  5. Individual participants who have not raised $5,000 by the date their Event will be contacted by a fundraising representative and given additional support to help with fundraising.

TEAM REGISTRATIONS

  1. By registering, individual participants in a team acknowledge that they will receive direct contact (by email, sms or other means) from OzHarvest about the Event they are registered for and to help with and encourage Fundraising initiatives. Please refer to the Privacy clause in these Terms and the OzHarvest Privacy Policy: https://www.ozharvest.org/privacy-policy/ for further information.
  2. Where a participant from a Team is no longer available to attend the Event, a replacement may attend in their place. OzHarvest must be advised via email (cookoff@ozharvest.org) as soon as possible of the replacement participant’s details. The replacement participant takes on responsibility of fundraising goals as advised at the point of registration.
  3. The fundraising monies that an individual has collected on behalf of their team will not be refunded to donors should any individual participant not be available to attend the Event or send a replacement.
  4. Each Team pledges to raise a minimum of $5,000 per team member (on average) before they attend the Event.
  5. Corporate Teams that do not raise the minimum amount (based on the size of their team) by the date of their Event will be contacted by a fundraising representative and given additional support with fundraising.

EVENT CONDITIONS

  1. By registering and taking part in the Event, eligible participants acknowledge that the OzHarvest CEO CookOff™ is an active and involved Event. Participants must be aged 18 years or over at the time of the Event. By registering, participants confirm that they are in a suitable state of health and physical fitness to participate in the Event activities. Participants with any medical condition, disability or physical limitation that may affect their ability to safely take part in the Event activities must notify OzHarvest prior to the Event via cookoff@ozharvest.org. OzHarvest reserves the right, in its absolute discretion, to decline registration or exclude any participant from all or part of the Event on health or safety grounds.
  2. Participants who are eligible to attend the Event are responsible for their own travel to and from the Event and all associated costs, and release OzHarvest and all its personnel from all liability relating to or arising from travel to and from the Event, to the maximum extent permitted by law.
  3. By registering and taking part in the Event, all eligible participants grant OzHarvest a royalty-free, worldwide, perpetual licence to use their photograph, video, multimedia or film likeness, name and profile in connection with the Event, without payment or compensation.
  4. By registering and taking part in the Event and fundraising, participants acknowledge that they will receive by email, sms or other means, news about the Event and other information from OzHarvest. Please refer to the Privacy clasue in these Terms and the OzHarvest Privacy Policy: https://www.ozharvest.org/privacy-policy/ for further information.
  5. All Individual Participants or Teams must obtain permission from their respective companies, to use a company’s name and logo within their public fundraising profiles. Permission must include approval for OzHarvest to use their company’s name, logo and any other provided details on the OzHarvest CEO CookOffLeaderboard at the Event and on the OzHarvest CEO CookOff website or other promotional opportunities (eg social media, newspapers, advertisements etc).
  6. Participants acknowledge that any member of the public will have the ability to search the OzHarvest CEO CookOffwebsite, view the participant’s fundraising page/profile and sponsor an Individual or Team of their choosing.
  7. OzHarvest and all registered participants and guests are to comply with all public health laws, regulations, and orders that may be in effect on the date of the Event. Timing, format of the Event/s and conditions for guests entering the site may be modified to ensure compliance with the health orders to ensure your good health and safety.
  8. All participants acknowledge that any monies raised through their fundraising efforts will be recognised by OzHarvest as donations at the time the donations are made by them or their supporters on the CEO CookOff™ website. Tax Deductible Receipts will automatically be sent to the individual supporter/donor, and those donated monies will be made available immediately to OzHarvest to carry out its charitable purposes. If the Event/s are cancelled any monies raised will remain non-refundable and will be used by OzHarvest to carry out its charitable purposes.
  9. FOOD SAFETY, DIETARY REQUIREMENTS AND ALLERGIES: Participants are responsible for disclosing any food allergies, intolerances or dietary requirements to OzHarvest prior to the Event by emailing cookoff@ozharvest.org. While OzHarvest will use reasonable endeavours to accommodate disclosed requirements, it cannot guarantee that the Event will be entirely free from any particular allergen. To the maximum extent permitted by law, OzHarvest excludes all liability for any adverse reaction, illness or injury arising from the consumption of food or beverages at the Event, including where a participant has failed to disclose a relevant allergy or dietary requirement.
  10. CODE OF CONDUCT: All participants must behave in a safe, respectful and professional manner throughout the Event, including during preparation, cooking, serving and dining activities. Participants must follow all reasonable directions given by OzHarvest staff, chefs and venue personnel. OzHarvest reserves the right, in its absolute discretion, to remove any participant from the Event at any time without refund or compensation where that participant: (a) behaves in a manner that OzHarvest considers to be unsafe, disruptive, offensive or disrespectful; (b) is or appears to be intoxicated or under the influence of any prohibited substance; or (c) fails to comply with any reasonable direction given by OzHarvest staff, chefs or venue personnel. Participants removed in these circumstances will remain liable for any fundraising commitments made at the point of registration.

OzHarvest CEO COOKOFFTM WEBSITE

  1. OzHarvest has made every endeavour to ensure the information supplied through the OzHarvest CEO CookOffwebsite is suitable, accurate and complete, but OzHarvest does not warranty that the material contained within the OzHarvest CEO CookOffTM website is free from error or omission.
  2. The material on the OzHarvest CEO CookOffwebsite must not be used, copied, modified, transmitted, stored, published or distributed, without obtaining the prior written consent of OzHarvest.
  3. Any trademarks (whether registered or unregistered) and logos used on the OzHarvest CEO CookOffwebsite must not be used or modified in any way without obtaining the prior written consent of OzHarvest.
  4. The OzHarvest CEO CookOffwebsite, products, technology, and processes contained in the website may be the subject of other intellectual property rights owned by OzHarvest or by third parties. No licence is granted in respect of those intellectual property rights other than as set out in these Terms. Your use of this website must not in any way infringe the intellectual property rights of any person.
  5. The OzHarvest CEO CookOffwebsite may contain links to, or frame, websites of third parties (“External Sites”). OzHarvest is not required to maintain or update the links.
  6. Links to, or framing of, External Sites should not be construed as any endorsement, approval, recommendation or preference by OzHarvest of the owners or operators of the External Sites, or for any information, products or services referred to on the External Sites unless expressly indicated on this website.
  7. OzHarvest does not endorse the content on External Sites and makes no warranties and accepts no liability in relation to material contained on External Sites.
  8. OzHarvest is not liable to you or anyone else if interference with or damage to your computer systems occurs in connection with use of the OzHarvest CEO CookOffwebsite or an External Site. You must take your own precautions to ensure that whatever you select for use from this website is free of viruses or anything else that may interfere with or damage the operation of your computer systems.
  9. PRIVACY: OzHarvest collects, uses and discloses personal information provided by participants (including name, contact details and company details) for the purposes of administering the Event, facilitating fundraising, communicating with participants about the Event and related OzHarvest activities, and any promotional purposes participants have consented to under these Terms. OzHarvest handles all personal information in accordance with its Privacy Policy, available at https://www.ozharvest.org/privacy-policy/. By registering for the Event, participants consent to OzHarvest contacting them by email, SMS or other means for the purposes described above. References to the OzHarvest Privacy Policy elsewhere in these Terms are in addition to and consistent with this clause.
  10. GOVERNING LAW: These Terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia. Participants agree that any disputes arising in connection with these Terms or the Event may be resolved in the courts of New South Wales, or the federal courts of Australia sitting in New South Wales.
