TERMS & CONDITIONS

By registering as an Individual participant or as part of a Corporate Team, you are deemed to have read and agree to be bound by the Terms and Conditions set out below:

THE EVENT

  1. The OzHarvest Community CookOffTM is a fundraising initiative of OzHarvest (ABN 33 107 782 196) which culminates in an event to be conducted from 15 May 2023 until 29 May 2023 where up to 300 eligible participants will cook with top chefs, serving community members in restaurants around Sydney, Adelaide, Brisbane, Melbourne and Perth.
  2. The Event aims to raise awareness about food insecurity both nationally and within one’s community, whilst raising funds for OzHarvest, serving community members and allowing the delivery of meals to vulnerable individuals (“The Purpose”).
  3. CEOs, local leaders, workplace teams and community members from various organisations will be invited to register to participate in the Event.
  4. Participants may register for the OzHarvest Community CookOffTM as individuals or as a Corporate Team consisting of 5 or more individuals.
  5. Participants who are eligible to attend the Event (as an Individual Participant or part of a Corporate Team as outlined below) will join together with some of Australia’s best chefs from participating restaurants to prepare and cook meals that will be served to community members and delivered to charities for vulnerable people. Participants will:
    • prepare food in a team together with other individuals and a top chef;
    • cook in a team that is supervised and guided by a top chef;
    • share a meal with the chefs, community members and other participants;
    • assist with the packing up of the additional meals, to be delivered to local charities;

INDIVIDUAL REGISTRATIONS

  1. By registering, individual participants acknowledge that they will receive direct contact (by email, sms or other means) from OzHarvest about the Event they are registered for and to help with and encourage Fundraising initiatives. Please refer to the OzHarvest Privacy Policy: https://www.ozharvest.org/privacy-policy/
  2. The registration fee for an individual participant is $1,500. This is a tax deductible donation that goes towards your fundraising tally.
  3. Early Bird registrations until 17 February 2023 will qualify for the reduced fee of $1,000 for an individual participant. This is a tax deductible donation that goes towards your fundraising tally. Individual participants will be given their choice of preferred restaurant as a priority (subject to availability).
  4. Where a registrant is no longer able to attend the Event, a replacement may attend in their place. OzHarvest must be advised via email (cookoff@ozharvest.org) as soon as possible of the replacement participant’s details. The replacement participant takes on responsibility of fundraising goals as advised at the point of registration.
  5. The registration fee will not be refunded should any individual participant not be available to attend the Event or send a replacement.
  6. Individual participants are encouraged to raise a minimum $10,000 before they attend the Event.
  7. Individual participants who have not raised $10,000 by the event date (15 May to 29 May 2023) will be contacted by a fundraising coach and given additional support to help with fundraising.
  8. The “OzHarvest Community CookOffTM Pledge” Individual participants will be encouraged to pledge a target of $10,000 or higher for the Purpose. Individual participants who pledge $20,000 or higher will be allocated to their preferred Top Tier restaurant (subject to availability). Those that do not exceed $10,000 are welcome to attend an Event but may be assigned a role of OzHarvest’s choosing. A pledge could be along the lines of:

    “I, NAME from COMPANY pledge to raise $###,000 for the OzHarvest Community CookOffTM and OzHarvest.”

CORPORATE TEAM REGISTRATIONS

  1. By registering, participants acknowledge that they will receive direct contact (by email, sms or other digital means) from OzHarvest about the Event and Fundraising. Please refer to the OzHarvest Privacy Policy: https://www.ozharvest.org/privacy-policy/
  2. The registration fee for a Corporate Team for the Event is $7,500 (i.e. the equivalent of 5 individual registrations @ $1,500 per team member). This is a tax deductible donation that goes towards your Corporate Team’s fundraising tally.
  3. The Early Bird registration fee for a Corporate Team for the event is $5,000 until 17 February 2023 (i.e. the equivalent of 5 individual registrations @ $1,000 per team member). This is a tax deductible donation that goes towards your Corporate Team’s fundraising tally. Corporate Teams will be given their choice of preferred restaurant as a priority (subject to availability).
  4. Where a participant from a Corporate Team becomes unavailable to attend the Event, a replacement may attend in their place. OzHarvest must be advised via email (cookoff@ozharvest.org)) as soon as possible of the replacement participant’s details. The replacement participant takes on responsibility of fundraising goals as advised at the point of registration.
  5. The registration fee will not be refunded should any individual participant not be available to attend the Event or send a replacement.
  6. Each Corporate Team is encouraged to raise a minimum $50,000 (cumulative across all Team members) before they attend the Event.
  7. Corporate Teams that do not raise the minimum $50,000 by the date of the Event will be contacted by a fundraising coach and given additional support with fundraising.
  8. The “OzHarvest Community CookOffTM Pledge”
    Corporate Teams will be encouraged to pledge a target of $50,000 or higher for the Purpose. Corporate teams who pledge $100,000 or higher will be allocated to their preferred Top Tier restaurant (subject to availability). Those that do not exceed $50,000 are welcome to attend the Event but may be assigned a role of OzHarvest’s choosing. A pledge could be along the lines of:

    “Team COMPANY pledge to raise $###,000 for the OzHarvest Community CookOffTM and OzHarvest.”

EVENT CONDITIONS

  1. By registering and taking part in the Event, eligible participants acknowledge that the OzHarvest Community CookOff™ is an active and involved Event.
  2. Participants who are eligible to attend the Event are responsible for their own travel to and from the Event and all associated costs, and release OzHarvest and all its personnel from all liability relating to or arising from travel to and from the Event.
  3. By registering and taking part in the Event, all eligible participants agree to allow their photograph, video, multimedia or film likeness, name and profile to be used in connection with the Event by OzHarvest without payment or compensation.
  4. By registering and taking part in the Event and fundraising, participants acknowledge that they will receive by email or other digital means, news about the Event and other information from OzHarvest. Please refer to the OzHarvest Privacy Policy: https://www.ozharvest.org/privacy-policy/
  5. All participants must obtain permission from their respective companies for OzHarvest to use their company’s name, logo and profile to be displayed on the OzHarvest Community CookOffTM Leader board at the Event and on the OzHarvest Community CookOffTM website or other promotional opportunities (eg social media, newspapers, advertisements etc).
  6. Participants acknowledge that any member of the public will have the ability to search the OzHarvest Community CookOffTM website, view the participant’s profile and company profile and sponsor a participant.
  7. COVID-19: Events, gatherings, venues and public spaces in Australia all continue to be affected by COVID-19. OzHarvest and all guests are to comply with the current health orders that may be in effect on the date of the Event. Timing, format of the Event/s and conditions for guests entering the site may be modified to ensure compliance with the health orders to ensure your good health and safety.
  8. All participants acknowledge that any monies raised through their fundraising efforts will be recognised by OzHarvest as donations at the time the donations are made by them or their supporters on the Community CookOffTM website. Tax Deductible Receipts will automatically be sent to the individual supporter/donor, and those donated monies will be made available to OzHarvest to carry out its charitable purposes. If the Event/s are cancelled or further postponed due to COVID-19 or any other reason, any monies raised are not refundable.

OzHarvest Community COOKOFFTM WEBSITE

  1. OzHarvest has made every endeavour to ensure the information supplied through the OzHarvest Community CookOffTM website is suitable, accurate and complete, but OzHarvest does not warranty that the material contained within the OzHarvest Community CookOffTM website is free from error or omission.
  2. The material on the OzHarvest Community CookOffTM website must not be used, copied, modified, transmitted, stored, published or distributed, without obtaining the prior written consent of OzHarvest.
  3. Any trademarks (whether registered or unregistered) and logos used on the OzHarvest Community CookOffTM website must not be used or modified in any way without obtaining the prior written consent of OzHarvest.
  4. The OzHarvest Community CookOffTM website, products, technology and processes contained in the website may be the subject of other intellectual property rights owned by OzHarvest or by third parties. No licence is granted in respect of those intellectual property rights other than as set out in these Terms. Your use of this website must not in any way infringe the intellectual property rights of any person.
  5. The OzHarvest Community CookOffTM website may contain links to, or frame, websites of third parties (“External Sites”). OzHarvest is not required to maintain or update the links.
  6. Links to, or framing of, External Sites should not be construed as any endorsement, approval, recommendation or preference by OzHarvest of the owners or operators of the External Sites, or for any information, products or services referred to on the External Sites unless expressly indicated on this website.
  7. OzHarvest does not endorse the content on External Sites and makes no warranties and accepts no liability in relation to material contained on External Sites.
  8. OzHarvest is not liable to you or anyone else if interference with or damage to your computer systems occurs in connection with use of the OzHarvest Community CookOffTM website or an External Site.
