Mark Hanover

Support my CookOff to feed people in need.

Irish-born chef Mark Hanover grew up in Cork on simple, honest food: meat and two veg, nothing fancy. He started in pub kitchens as a teenager before heading to London to sharpen his craft at The Dorchester and under Marcus Wareing at his two-Michelin-star restaurant.

In 2012 he moved to Australia, working at Quay before spending five years at Gastro Park.

Today Mark leads Canva's global food program, The Communal Table, where food drives connection, community and celebration.
"We cook dishes from all over the world, with a different menu every day, focusing on deliciousness, inclusivity, creativity and no food waste, feeding the masses across five locations globally."

He's also the co-owner of Yellow restaurant, a two-hatted restaurant built around plant-based botanical cuisine.
