Marguerite Fitzgerald

Marguerite Fitzgerald is Chief Strategy Officer at Brisbane 2032, where she leads the development of the organising committee’s long‑term strategy, operating model and performance framework for the Olympic and Paralympic Games. Her role focuses on aligning ambition with delivery across a complex, multi‑stakeholder environment, while ensuring the Games leave a lasting national legacy.

Prior to joining Brisbane 2032, Marguerite held a number of senior executive roles across global and Australian organisations. Most recently, she was Chief Administration Officer at Crown Resorts, with responsibility for enterprise‑wide strategy, transformation, governance and enabling functions during a period of significant change.  Prior to that, she served as President of Carnival Australia and P&O Cruises Australia, guiding the business through post-COVID industry recovery and transformation.

Earlier in her career, Marguerite spent nearly two decades at Partner at Boston Consulting Group, including leading BCG’s global lodging and leisure practice and advising CEOs and boards across Europe, the United States and Asia‑Pacific on strategy, growth and organisational change.

Marguerite is also a board member of Teach For Australia, reflecting her commitment to leadership, capability building and long‑term social impact. She is known for her clear thinking, pragmatic leadership style, and ability to translate complex strategy into practical outcomes.
