Participating in their 1st CEO CookOff

WHAT IS CEO COOKOFFTM ALL ABOUT?

I'm helping OzHarvest raise $3million to feed those in need in the OzHarvest CEO CookOff.

In this time of crisis and into the future, OzHarvest will be doing all that they can to reach those who are affected by fires, drought, and floods, in addition to continuing to support the 1,300 charities that rely on them every day.

The OzHarvest CEO Cookoff™ fundraising will focus on the food crisis relief in four categories:

•        Keeping the wheels turning on our fleet of 57 food rescue vans that deliver food to over 1,300 charities around Australia
•        Resourcing a bespoke Mobile Market that will take free food directly to communities impacted by the ongoing fires and drought
•        Providing additional resources and support to our local OzHarvest operations in both metro and regional locations to meet the increase in food need
•        Delivering delicious and nutritious joyful community food events to areas that have been affected by droughts and fires, calling upon the support of Australia’s hospitality community

The 2020 CEO CookOff will be a festival of hope and joy, embodying the community spirit of Australia.

I'd love your support in helping me reach my fundraising goal!

Every $1 donated to OzHarvest means they can deliver 2 meals to those in need.

Participating in the CEO Cookoff on behalf of Moelis Australia are our joint CEOs, Julian Biggins and Chris Wyke.

Julian and Chris were both co-founders of Moelis Australia in 2009.

Julian

Although Julian will be a first-time participant in the Cookoff, he is no stranger to the work OzHarvest do. OzHarvest is one of the primary food suppliers to the St Vincent Food Truck, a service which Julian is an active member of, providing food and social engagement with Sydney’s less fortunate and homeless.

Speaking about the CEO Cookoff, Julian said, “I’m delighted to be involved in this event – it’s a really great cause. I’m also looking forward to getting back into the kitchen. I do enjoy cooking a slow cooked lamb or beef lasagne, which also gains some resistance at home because my wife is practically vegan.”

Chris

Chris sits on the Board of the Moelis Australia Foundation and through that has led a team of corporate advisors on pro bono professional services.

“This will be my first time working with OzHarvest and I’m excited to be part of such a worthwhile initiative”, Chris said.

Contemplating cooking for hundreds of Australians, under the guidance of Australia’s best Masterchefs, he said, “At home I am no master and I am no chef, so this will be a privilege and learning experience for me.”
