Who can say no when Ronni Kahn calls?
In 2025, I’ll once again be putting on an apron and stepping into the kitchen for the OzHarvest CEO CookOff. This incredible event brings together business leaders, top chefs, and the community to fight food waste and support people in need.
I’ve been proud to support the CookOff since 2013. Over that time, I’ve seen the event grow stronger each year, raising millions of dollars to help OzHarvest rescue good food and provide nutritious meals to vulnerable Australians.
For me, the CookOff is one of those events that makes you stop and reflect on what really matters. It’s not just about cooking; it’s about reducing waste, sharing resources, and caring for people who are struggling—particularly children. No child should ever have to go hungry in a country like ours.
Every year, the CookOff highlights two critical issues: the staggering amount of food wasted in Australia, and the ongoing need to support families doing it tough. OzHarvest does an extraordinary job rescuing surplus food from supermarkets, restaurants, and suppliers, and redirecting it to charities that feed people in need. The CookOff helps raise the funds and awareness needed to keep this work going.
As this year’s event approaches, I’m looking forward to teaming up with world-class chefs, helping OzHarvest continue its vital mission of nourishing our country.
