This cause is deeply personal to me. As a child, I grew up in a very low-income household where fresh food wasn’t always guaranteed, often relying on food hampers and mum being very resourceful and creative. Those experiences shaped my gratitude for every meal I have today and fuel my determination to help others who are facing the same struggles.
The kitchen has always been my happy place - the space where I can unwind, create, and even meditate. Cooking is how I show care and now I get to use that passion to helping make a difference.
Through my work in supply chains and the QSR industry, I’ve also seen the heartbreaking reality of food waste in Australia. Perfectly good produce is discarded every day, while so many families go hungry.
That’s why I’m proud to stand alongside OzHarvest in this incredible event, which brings together CEOs, business leaders, community advocates, and top chefs to fight food waste and support people in need. Together, we can turn wasted food into hope, nourishment, and dignity.
With the cost of living increasing, the demand for food relief in Australia is at an all-time high as people struggle to make ends meet
